Genetically modified fish that glow in the dark are being credited with reviving sales of aquatic pets in the US.

The pet zebrafish fluoresce green or red. The greens have a gene added from jellyfish; the reds contain a gene found in coral.

I've kept fish (tropical and cold water) for years, it's never been a secret that breeders cross all sorts of fish together to try and get something a bit different.
Not sure about gentically engineering them, doesn't sound too different to me.....
