How do I change theme back to the XP look ?
AceHigh
Can't yet. The switch is done, but still minor tweaks left, like themes.
Jason
icon_cry.gif I don't like themes that's why I use the XP look.
AceHigh
You like the look of an interface designed by Fisher Price?
Jason
Yes thats it follow the sheep and call it fisher price, I like the clean look of XP and using that theme here makes it look more integrated in to the OS.
AceHigh
Well, you're stuck with this till bull gets the other themes working.
Demon
Hurry up bull!!!!!
Mister 4x4
This new look is fine. What's the big deal? Give the man a chance to tie up the loose ends.

Rome wasn't built in a day.
Felix4067
I'm just glad it wasn't my eyes. icon_lol.gif

Now, if only the quick reply would work...

Yeah, I know...never happy. My mission in life is to point out things that don't work quite right. At least it's not just here. icon_wink.gif
AceHigh
Hmmmm, quick reply work here..............
Jason
Doesn't work here.
AceHigh
My controls, board options, Open Fast Reply automatically when available? YES

You may have to delete your cookies to get it to work.
Jason
I now get the fast reply dialog box at the bottom of the screen but the fast reply button next to new topic and add reply does nothing just a javascript error.

Yup, exactly what's happening here. Even after clearing all cookies and cache.

I like my XP theme and bull has done a wonderful job. Still want the XP. Thanks.
bull
Thanks for all the kind words. I was getting ready to do the XP theme, but it sits on my dead HD. icon_frown.gif

I will try to find the XP theme again, it was a downloaded theme, and mod it up so you can use and see the new stuff. If anybody finds the XP theme for IPB 1.3f (preferred) or 1.2f should work, let me know. icon_neutral.gif

I can get that data off the dead HD.

Cheap, too: $3500.00 tops.

icon_biggrin.gif

Are you gonna give up on the drive, or try and freeze it? Is that the one that's doing the Click of Death?
bull
Yeppers, that be the one. I have my computer back in order now, so I may just have to try the freezer thing...nothing to lose. icon_neutral.gif

Felix4067
ACK!!!!! New problem, and my apologies along with it!!!

When I try to submit a news item, I get a completely blank page, but it says it's done loading. When I try to refresh, I get the popup telling me it has to resend the information, so I clicked "retry". I still got the completely blank white page, nothing whatsoever on it.

However, apparently, I've submitted the first news item four times through the process. help.gif

I'm gonna hold off on any more for now, it's WAY too hard to put anything in when it's all screwy. icon_frown.gif

Edit:
Well...was that weird or what??? I went back to check it, and there were NO posts in the "submit news" forum, and only one copy of the review I submitted in the news section. icon_confused.gif help.gif icon_confused.gif help.gif
bull
I just fixed that problem and discovered another in the process. icon_neutral.gif

The refresh will work, but the java popups will not until I get home in the am. I was installing the new news icons and for some reason when I work with the files in the cpanel and not upload/download on the ftp, I get issues. Not sure why??

btw, when you post news if you want to select the icon that goes on the main with it, hit the drop menu above the 'enter your post' and select the category. icon_cool.gif

Ah geez....you're gonna make me THINK at 3am? icon_lol.gif help.gif

As to the new look, I like it but slightly prefer my XP theme. : shrugs :
uNtOldPAIN
hmm. I like them both....Bull your the ....*sigh* man wheeeeeh.gif cocky.gif
Mister 4x4
Geez - who'd have thought people would be so critical over fonts and colors?
AceHigh
Here's my take. Bull chose this theme for the first one because it's DIFFERENT. We wanted to get away from looking every other damn site out there.
bull
Plus, I cannot find the xp theme anywhere. I will try to preview another one.

Anybody else looking? icon_confused.gif
AceHigh
Well, you could make the default look like AOL on a MAC icon_biggrin.gif
Jason
Give me a bit of time and I will have it.
