I've been trying to dig up a bit of info on the ratings system used in the US of records/music.

Basically, I can't found out what the hell a 'G' rated record is. I think it may mean G...for ....wait for it.......'grown up' music. Whatever that may mean.

Can anyone help me out here and/or supply a link explaining this system?

Cheers.

The "G" rating sounds to me like its a rating for something else icon_mrgreen.gif

That link sort of helps....thanks Varth.

A G rating would appear to indicate grown up music, like anyone can put a label on what age we should be listening to certain music.

I thought that was what the 'Parental Advisory' sticker (which helps to sell an extra million or so copies to kids) was for.

Censorship gone mad.

Cheers anyway.
