Well...that took entirely too long, sorry about that. Turns out the CC I had on my PayPal account was expired. No big deal, just update the expiration. Except you also have to have the code from the back, and I kept leaving the stupid thing in my bag in the car.

Anyway. Finally did my part. And there's no need to be embarrassed...I've been in the same boat before. In fact, I consider this a partial payment into the karma pool for money a friend gave me a couple of summers ago when I needed it most.

Sadly, I don't have the cash to support the site, but I'd like to thrown in some ideas.

I've seen google ads on some forums, which might kgive some help in covering the costs. I'm not sure how they work, but I think they only pay if someone clicks on the links. I think the ads can be customised to suit the site's needs. (e.g computing links only)
These ads are not necessarily obtrusive, as they're only text, no flashing banners.

I'm not sure if you'd like to consider this option, but just looking at it can't hurt.
