There was a SNAFU with the electric company-- actually the old owner's fault. For whatever imbicilic reason, they left the breakers on- so when SCE&G came by to turn the power on <while I was at closing> and found the breakers on, they turned it right back off....

got to the house, called the electric- they said they wouldn't be back out till Tuesday. This was NOT acceptable, to say the least! So I managed to get a Super to send a guy out tomorrow, "sometime in the afternoon". Hopefully before the cable guy comes...

GRrrrr.... at least the water is on, and I believe the phone as well. Phone I can do without, since the wife and I both have Cells.

I'll say this-- the place looks MUCH less appealing wthout furniture in it. This is to be exected though.

Got the things I was dreading oving the most, moved today: a pair of Dana 44 axles from an 87 Jeep Wagoneer <destined for my Blazer solid axle swap- I now officially have ALL the parts I need.. except for a set of 33's to roll her around on. No, they're not the main priority in my life-- just the most aggravating things to move-- so insted of dreading them and then being beat, I figured it best to get them out of the way. Will get the rest of my tools over there tomorrow, and then to the attic. I anticipate throwing a LOT of stuff up there out.

So I've got all the parts, tools, and skills to do the SAS I've been planning for 4 years now... and no time to do the swap, as I'm going on the road for damn near two months straight. Ah well---

Metal shop horror show. Start with the Sam Peckinpaw fake blood squirting gig after the industrial accident. Throw in a blood curdling scream and run from the garage spurting blood from a stump that arcs at least 10 feet. You'll never ever have uninvited guests. EVER.
