Ok, I thought I was seeing stuff at first, but you guys got to check this site out:

Mini Cooper Transformer

Some of the video (where the robot stops a speeding Land Rover) is freaking incredible.

no friggin' way, his (it's) movement is to fluid... almost human... I hate to say it but we are not that advanced yet in robotics.

Thats not real, I think icon_rolleyes.gif

Now if the robot bellowed "THATS JUST PRIME", then OK its real icon_mrgreen.gif but comeon...

Great video...but lets be real, its not real. icon_biggrin.gif

I thought it looked very real up until it stopped the landrover. It almost seemed like perfect AI, like it knew what position to get in to absorb the blow of the landrover. The arm dexterity test was completely real i'd say, as it was just like any factory robot arm, but the site seems pretty convincing. Who would go all through that just for a laugh anyway?
Coz
I dunno, from all the sites that I got the link from, they say it's the real deal.

It would be freaking cool as hell if it was real though.
AceHigh
Indeed it would. icon_biggrin.gif

from the background info, the other sites he has up, and the knowledge he has, seems pretty real to me...
Coz
I guess we will just have to keep watching for any developments on it? It sure is going to be interesting to see what happens.

But, if you notice, the videos are pretty outdated, he only uploaded them recently.

And, one thing wich makes me wonder if it's real: in the car stopping video, the robot seems to slide on the floor - might be what should happen, but seems not real to me icon_smile.gif
