When I do a backup of a movie with X copy it works fine on the puter, but it wont work on the DVD player hooked to the TV. I believe it is copying too fast but X copy express does not give me a burn rate option. I realy want to get this to work...please help.

First things first... Does your standalone player support dvd-r/+r? That makes a huge diff.

If it doesn't thn it can't read 'em... I think.

Yes it does odie, but the picture jerks from frame to frame?

Yep, I am assuming its being cooked to fast... If you can get your hands on it, try NeroVision Express, it works good too.

Also why are you using about the worst program ever written for copying the DVD? DVD SUX Copy blows.

So therefore better software for Biggie to try would be......... icon_rolleyes.gif

I use DVD2One and Clone DVD2 as my backup software, I have made DVD's that lockup and stutter on my DVD player (cheapie) but play fine on a friends.

I have used 2x & 4X media (Cant find any 8X that I want to pay for 285.gif ) and have found that media brand is a major issue as well.

Mine are no name, the 2X have 4X written in the inner mfg info ring but will only burn at 2X, the 4X ones are printable with a label (white paint like stuff) already on them and work the best for me.

Heh .. duh... yeah nice of me to slam the software and not recommend an alternative.

DVD2ONE has worked well for me but the quality of the output isn't always up to par.

So I use Pinnacle Instant Copy most of the time (Ver 7 ... ver 8 sucks and crashes non stop). Its slow but the results are great.

Input much appreciated everyone. icon_cool.gif

Testing out a new one ... freeware DVD Shrink It ... so far it seems pretty good... better than DVD2ONE

I use DVD Shrink 3.1.... it allows me to go in to edit as well & works with Nero 6

Mission accomplished. DVD Shrink did the job.
