it may take about half an hour before the download begins because of queuing tho it may start instantly. it may appear to be doing nothing when you are queued up but dont worry icon_biggrin.gif. if u find the queues take ages start it late at nite and leave it

no thanks.... happy with XP for now

My sister needs a computer and I am using all used parts for her... she is getting Knoppix or Kanotix installed on the HD with OpenOffice

that is all she needs and she will be able to surf, create edit/docs of all kinds, burn and play cd's and dvds.

Not bad for free....

she is getting a VIA based mobo with 1 GB PC133 SDRAM, an Athlon 1.2 GHz (not performance rated.... the real thing), a GeForce 4 (not MX, the real thing), a Plextor CDRW, a LiteOn Dual layer DVD burner, my old WD1000JB 100 GB HD with 8MB cache, a new case and an antec 350 psu

she better not bitch for all that for nothing.. except for the 20 dollar case

remember, this is not a gaming box, nor is it meant to be... just something she can use and play with and surf broadband with
