I am unable to access any secured sites. There were no changes to my system other than I ran Norton Live Update which partially failed. Since then I can't access a secured site. I have been on the Microsoft Support Site and downloaded and followed instructions from article (813444?) on security issues to no avail. I have checked all the security and privacy options, checked the firewall all seem to be normal. I am runnning Norton AntiVirus 2004 for XP and Norton Internet Security. Can't get any help from Norton as you can't talk to or get any problem solved from them. they just send you in a "neverending fixit circle" of articles. If any one has any suggestions please let me know.

The same thing happened to some people I work with and it was spyware redirecting the browser somehow. Try doing a full scan of all files on your PC for spyware and adware junk.

Ran Spyware and Adware. No results. Thanks for trying.

We have found a new type of spware at work and its quite nasty as soon as Adaware / Spybot etc removes it, its comes back instantly, have checked prefech, memory, every possible location on the PC (we spent half the day on this 8.gif )

We have found a program at work to remove this not sure if its the same but I will post its name tommorow.

Its none of the current add removal programs.

Thanks. I have two files on my computer that SpyBot and Adaware can't remove. They are istbar.slotch and dyfulca.internetoptimizer. I have tried to locate them but cannot find them. I have removed Internet Optimizer. Wayne

Got the free trial but it wont destroy the virus without full version. Go to buy online but can't because it is a secure site. Called the company they didn't call back. Emailed the company, got an automated response to go the site where I can't get on the site. You just can't buy products anymore. They don't want you to bother them. Any other thoughts?
