I'm behind firewall and connect with emule using socks proxy and a tunnel.
The problem is that I get just a few sources(about 4 per file) and few connections (4 active), and all sources have very large QR. Most of the files have no sources at all.
I have tried different values for "max connections" "hard limit" and "in 5 sec." but it didn't work. Also varying up/dl speed didn't help.
Uploading does work but it has some problems too.
How can I get more sources/ connections ?

I am usually pretty good at helping people out w/ Emule configs and what-not. But you are the first person I know of that is using a proxy/tunnel.
Can't help you on that particular aspect. The only thing I can suggest is to check to see if you are getting a "highID" on server connect?

I always get Low ID, but I'm used to that.

you still need to forward ports, you have to drill some holes in your FW. Thats why your speed is low... and why you have a low ID

OK basically you are not allowing emule to download from your machine at its best. This is due to a firewall problem of some sort. This was happening to us for ages with our eMule and some other games with similar problems like creating a dedicated server for games.
I rang bigpond to see if they could help and all they did was say must be microsoft you have to ring them about it.
Later we learnt that we had to access our ADSL modems NAT and create a hole for emule so we could get HIGHID and download heaps of sick stuff really quickly on our 1.5Kbit download.
So you need to figure out what firewall is stoping emule from working at its best.
you will have to create a IP with corresponding protocol and port settings somewhere in your network.
If you do have ADSL from bigpond, you probably just have to access your router in the modem by typing 10.0.0.138 in Internet Explorer.
type help for commands.
cheers
