My daughter , a friend of heres and myself are headed to Shania's concert in Bham tomorrow night. I think my tickets are in the nosebleed section but this will be the first concert I have gone to in 15 years and the first for my daughter. I wonder if I will enjoy it. I think so. Anyone seen here live before? How about you canucks?

I've never seen her perform live, but I have a friend who went to her concert here a couple of Fridays ago. Apparently she really puts on a show, and gets the audience really into it. Money well worth spent!!

I am going out on a limb here, and I hope that all the guys here don't try to boot me of 4peeps, but I don't think Shania is that talented, and I really don't find her that attractive. There it is folks, SORRY!!!!!!

I thought about going to see her when she did some gigs in the UK a few months ago, but at £50 a ticket I decided not to. Great singer and very easy on the eyes.

My sentiments exactly. And she's actually a pretty decent human, too (a friend of mine used to tour with her, and had nothing but good to say about her).

I judge how good she is on the fact that my best friend actually bought a CD, and she HATES country music.

Well , it was pretty good but times have changed since I went to a concert last. A 23 year old started hitting on my daughter with some really chessy lines ( he actually told her "you feel like a woman" when Shania was singing that song. I was amazed at how many people it takes to put that show together. I think she earns her money. To do that same show , night after night after night. She said she had 150 stage hand to put the set together. Felix , are these people hired locally for each show or do that many people travel with her?

A show will travel with a few people (anywhere from 3 to 50), but the rest are all locals. That's where I come in. I think she travels with something like 35 people, if I remember correctly. I could be wrong, it happens. I think the last time she was here, she had 17 semi-trucks full of gear.

I have to agree with you there. I saw her a couple of years ago, and it was so mediocre, we ended up leaving early. In fact we enjoyed the opening band much more (Leahy-a Celtic band). She isn't very talented, and it really shows in a live show. Not only that, but she snubbed and refused to have anything to do with her fans, contrary to what Felix reported. I was not impressed, and would not bother to see her again.

She wasn't that way this time. She spent the entire time ( while singing ) going around and around the stage signing autographs , slapping hands , brought people up on stage , etc. Very good show.

Talented and waaaaaay hot!

From what I've seen of her (wink wink, kidding of course), she puts on a heck of a show, she seems down to earth, she appreciates her fans a lot more than other big stars and depending on the picture, she may look hot or not. Her facial structure doesn't appeal to me, however the rest of her isn't too shabby at all, at all. LOL.
Also, I'm not sure if she is still considered country. I don't follow her (or any other musicians/singers) closely enough to make that determination.
