Okay folks, I need some help finding a recipe for corn chowder. Anything y'all could put in here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!!

EDIT:

PS - I've already looked on-line, and I didn't really care for what they had to offer out there.

Ummm - Pretty much thinned-out Creamed Corn Soup, right? Take a bunch of corn. Put it in a pot. Smash up some of it, put it in the pot too. Add some stuff that makes it 'creamed corn.' Heat and stir and fold in some corn starch and milk til it's 'Chowder-esque.'

Serve with Tobasco and parsely.

Or you can cheat by opening a bunch of cans of Creamed Corn, cut it with some corn starch and milk. Goes much faster this way.

You can keep your comments to yourself, as I'm already familiar with most of them. icon_biggrin.gif

Actually it should be more of a creamy potato soup (leave some potato chunks in it) heavily laced with fresh off the cob corn (frozen works too!) Be aware that modern 'supersweet" corn can make it too sweet, but salt, pepper and butter help balance that.
Dammit, now I'm hungery again! yes.gif

Now, why would I want to keep my comments to myself? Isn't the purpose of this place to share our "comments", like you did?? icon_wink.gif

Thanks for the ideas, folks, and I'll be checking out the links you provided, cswchan.

Why don't you ask Rex? He adds alcohol to everything, he could make some very yummy chowder! zall_coho.gif
