Really anything with a fast moving beat. Guns n Roses has always been a favorite. Right now I have the Velvet Revolver CD in my car, great stuff.
The GazMeister
Either something I can sing along to or something with a damn good beat.

I've got Rammstein and The Darkness loaded up for when I'm in a hurry, they always knock seconds off my laptimes.

Elton John and Frank Sinatra for singalongs.

I also listen to a lot of audio books on long trips once Radio 4 has gotten to the Archers or Woman's Hour. icon_biggrin.gif

I listen to whatever's on the radio...usually rock. If none of my rock stations have anything good playing, I'll switch to pop, then rap/R&B, and then the golden oldies.

Yep - whatevers on, mainly Rock/Alternative or toss a CD in the changer for the same type, Rock/Alternative, or plug in the MP3 player for Rock/Alternative unless my wifes along then half the time goes to her Country music

Anything by Sublime, Nirvana or Bob Seger, seems to keep the car rolling! dance.gif

Yeah, I have some of that 50s, 60s and 70s stuff a great friend sent me. I still appreciate it very much. icon_smile.gif

Depends on my mood, how far I have to go, what part of the state I'm in, how tired I am, and how long I've been at work.

In town, it's whatever is on the radio, bouncing between two classic rock stations, a "new rock" station, a "70s, 80s, and 90s" station, a classical station, and an "alternative and progressive" station.

I have a couple of favourite stations in Lansing, Kalamazoo, Detroit, and Muskegon, so if I'm there, I listen to those.

Otherwise, I throw in a tape (or CD, should I ever put the stereo back in the car) and go with artists rather than specific songs.

Jimmy Buffett, INXS, Kid Rock, Erasure, Dream Academy, Goo Goo Dolls, Traveling Wilburys, SR-71, Matchbox 20, Jethro Tull, Violent Femmes, Muddy Waters, and Peter Gabriel all tend to live in my car.

the car has "the darkness", both of Avril lavigne's albums in it, Jet's album, best of the RHCP and the beastie boys new one.

In the glovebox ready for listening are too many CD's to mention

I waver between Pop Rock and elevator music. I find it far too expensive to put anything that might be enjoyable in; especially one that has any kind of decent drums or guitars.
Before you know it your driving like your in the Indy 500.
Your floor petals become the drum set.
Downshifting becomes a guitar rift.
Pretty soon the beat travels into your hands. You start playing it like a bongo set......the mirror, the dashboard the steering wheel.
Then there is just too many beats and instruments to keep up with so you start swerving in between cars, trying to insert another couple of beats.

Today I'm take a ride with:

Foghat - Slow Ride
Rare Earth - Get Ready
Rush - Fly by Night
Ram Jam - Black Betty
Golden Earing - Radar Love
Edgar Winter Group - Free Ride
Mountain - Mississippi Queen
