One of my coworkers felt a lump late last week and has been very nervous about it since. It is located on the right side of her jaw, just under where the jaw "hinges" are. Very close to being under her ear. Is that where some lymph nodes are located? The lump seems to be pretty small and can be moved around under the skin.

What would you recommend?

Most "lumps' there are benign but not all. The majority are lymph node swelling from drainage or infection. Sometimes the salivary glands get plugged up. HAve her try some warm compresses and if it doesn't go away within a week get it checked out . It probably won't amount to much but the longer things persist the better it is to at least know what they are.

oh, I felt a couple lumps on my arm (probably an infection, its not openly visible but u can feel them). One is right in between two of the scars on my arm, near the elbow, and another is right in the center where 2 cross. I figure its most likely a small infection, but they havent gone away so I figure maybe scar tissue.

EDIT: fine fine... I edited it so that way it only delivered the most important info, but I wanna know if its what I think it is (I know there are many different reasons, but if I can, i wanna be able to rule out the ones that wont be possible) and if it counts any, I've stopped about a month ago

(Those of you who have read my posts in the "talk soup" subject, you know what these scars are from icon_biggrin.gif)

Its not funny or clever to cut yourself, so don't refer to it again as no one here wants to know.
