I know that creative has not made some people happy as of late, but for the $$ I don't think you could go wrong with that one. I just can't see spending the extra money for a sound card. Is there really that much difference??

Help me out here sid. What makes that card about $90 better than the SB? I didn't really think that there was that great of a difference.

Sorry, imma have to dissagree Bull there is a difference.. and a major one... right now i have a 20 dollar sound card, the thing sux, sound isnt as good, and i cant turn my speakers on full and have it clear like i could with my SB Live 5.1 Plat... next off.. it makes this annoying sound if i try to use more then one program with sond at once.. exspecially loading things, not fun.. didnt have those with the SB Live.. i can tell u thsi.. id buy the sb live and save 70 bucks... up to u, if u have the money get the xp for the drive bay.. up to u tho id get sb live

coz posted a good article on sound cards, (yeah the sick sob put my SB Audigy to the shits with the article) hee hee j/j coz, but it featured the some good stuff on sound cards.

I tried looking for it but.... it either says module not active or 404 not found (hint hint admins)

but it was a really good article...

I'd go with a SB Live!

Definitely I'd go with the Hercules...gotta love that break out box!!!
