when i don't want something i copy / paste to word / print and through it away but its still in the screen?

Word creates a temporary file when you open a file or create a file. To make sure you actually delete the file you were in, close it in Word and then delete it. If it was a new document, just close it and select 'No' when asked if you want to save it.
