After a day of being on my feet and cramed into an airplaine half of it i find my ankles swelled to the point you can't see the bones. This happened once before about 4 years ago. history= had a heart attach about 6 years ago and an angioplasty was done,30% blockage.
should i be concerned or wait and see?

Many possibilities there but one of the worse would be DVT ( deep vein thrombosis ) . It is very common with airplane passengers. If both legs were involved it is less likely. Also many cardiac medicines may cause some dependent edema. If it persists after you get home get it checked out.

See a doctor soonest Pappy. denial of a problem is the big killer with heart and circulation problems. Even doctors sometimes have the symtoms (swelling, chest or arm pain, etc.) and refuse to go have it checked out. Don't screw around, we need you here

Doc can correct me if I am wrong, but the same thing happens to me when I take a trip to Missouri (6 hrs in a car). Keep you feet elevated, and take a natural diuretic. A little lemon juice in water helps me. If they stay swollen for much longer get your Butt to the Doctor. Please!!!!! A laxative also helps, if constipations is accompanying the situation.

There is no reason for you to take your blood pressure in the lower legs but for your information the best place would be the popliteal artery ( behind the knee) . Pap , if your ankles are still swollen , you need to find out why. The list of possible explanations for lower extremity edema is myriad. Your doc needs to check this out. Go see him bud.
