ok my sound doesnt work, i would re-install the drivers for sound but i cant find the disk that came with my cpu... I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT KIND OF sound card i have!!!! how do i find out??? and how or where do i get the drivers???please help


OH AND PART OF TAHT.... when i try to go to audio properties and adjust volume and stuff this pops up..... there are no active mixer devices present.

open the case and look... look to see what model of motherboard you have if its onboard.

ok i have a dimension 4500 desktop by dell.....i opened my case and looked at it, the motherboard says dell on it... im not sure what model the mother board is but im almost positive it has onboard sound,

what am i looking for when i look for the model of the motherboard how can i tell??
