I have an Epson printer. It prints in colour. Can I do something called a scanning with it? Someone told me before that I can try it. And that way, I can send them some pictures that they want.

this is a windup right...

printers generally print : scanners generally scan.

you can get printers which scan and print (hp jobbies - they also fax) but other wise you need to get 2 seperate devices.

btw- to get your sig- go to profile- and type it in where you type it in earlier...

I have, what I think is an Epson Stylus 400 Colour Printer. Does that do the same thing as the other Epson machines in the links?

Also, I don't understand about the Signature? How can I get mine in that box on the Profile screen? And why does it show up below my writting?

click on profile- and the where it says signature- in the box next to it type what you want to appear- i.e. i love 4peeps- or some thing like that.

btw- the epson 400 cannot scan aswell as print! - sorry.

you can pick up a cheap scanner online for less than 40$ i think - investigate dude.

In the Profile. It says "Signature". Now, I tried to write out My signature in Microsoft Paint, But it looks nothing like it should. Is the signature like a counter-virus thing? As you can see, I have just received my first Personal Computer. I am only guessing that I am a "newbie". I am trying to take in as much as I can A.S.A.P. A friend of mine recommended I start using a forum to get help and answers, and She said, "try the website 4peeps.com". She said that the people there are smart, and they like to help. So I came here tonite. I just got my Personal Computer today, after lunch. It took me a while to use this mouse thing. But I can use the typer, as I use to use a typer word proccesor when I was in highschool.

You can type any text you want in your profile and it will appear when ever you type a message on this site.

If you would like to add a picture then that would have to be uploaded to the internet before it can be used as your signature.

4peeps can host your signature picture you have / made (probably) then it can be used in your signature.

krist...do you mean like your john hancock?...your actual written signature?

Hello Krist and Welcome to 4peeps first of all... I hope you enjoy your stay...

If you are writing you sig. in MS Paint, that will end up being an image (picture), you can't just plop a picture in the signature section on your profile screen. It has to be hosted on a server where you can link to it.

The signature section in the profile screen is for typing text and putting in the "link" for your picture where it is being "hosted" to show up.

One of the admins here can host your signature on the 4peeps server and you can link to it in your sig text box on the profile screen.

sometimes something as simple as posting a picture or getting an avatar to work can drive a new peep away.
