Hi.

I was told that I should leave my computer on at night time. I try to let it stay on, but sometime during the night, it goes off. In the morning, a green light is always flashing, and I have to turn it back on. Is this bad? How can I keep my computer on all night? Oh, My friend told be I should always say what Windows I am using. So, I have the Windows XP.

there is no problem with turning computers off when you have finished with them anymore.

Hard disks are rated at 40,000 (ish) on/ off cycles so there is no problem with turning it off.

If you don't want to turn it off, use the sleep option so it uses minimal power.
