Dude, most sushi is cooked. Very little is uncooked. Sushimi is all uncooked.

I do prefer fish uncooked. The meat is very sweet and tastes delicous, sweet and delcate with no nasty fishy oder.

Uncooked fish tastes FAR better than cooked. When you cook it, the fish oils give off that damn nasty fishy smell.

Golum was right... "[G]ives it to us RAW"!!!

In California (Not sure about the rest of the USA but most likely) all fish for Sushi is required to first be frozen to kill any biological pests. So much for fresh fish icon_wink.gif

been eating it for years with no intestinal worm issues, but then NOD32 scans me at bootup and takes care of that.... lol

It's like that here, too...Only freezing doesn't kill the bacteria, it just immensely slows down their growth.

I love spider rolls!! I'm not a fan of the single pieces of sushi, but I do like tamago (egg) and unagi (barbecued eel). As for rolls, I stick to cucumber, oshinko, salmon, and futo maki.

And whatever else I eat depends on the restaurant.

DONT KLIK unless you want to see something gross

shocking.gif yucky.gif sushi related

Just incase you couldnt scroll down @ the pictures :

Remember, tapeworms and roundworms and their eggs which
abounds in all fishes fresh and saltwater can only be killed by
thorough cooking and/or freezing the fish to between -4°C to 0°C.

The eggs of these parasites can only be killed if it is
cooked or frozen to the said temperatures for a week or more.

Think twice about eating that raw dish next time...
or you might get a headache. shocking.gif

the exception, not the rule... yeah gross

notice that he liked Sashima (that is mostly the raw stuff). As I have stated, most of the stuff I eat is cooked. the Eel is not however.

anyway, at market prices, I have not been able to afford good sushi for a long long time, and I expect that as long as most of my money goes to the ex, I won't be eating it for the next 14 years.
