I have bougth a mp3 player 1Gb from Hong Kong. I tryed to upgrade firmware from this link : http://www.wilson.co.ltd.xfou.com/. But after upgrade mp3 player switch off and now I can't turn on it. Computer is unable to find any usb device.
Can You help me?

I also bought an MP3 from Hong Kong and i have exactly the same problem, it died during the firmware upgrade and now it won't turn on. have you been able to fix it yet, i'd like to know how to fix the problem!

I have the same problem. All I tried to do was to put some tunes into it. The hold button seems to be backward the off/on doesn't work, all it seems to do is record my voice when I use bad language at it. It does seem to store music but not play it.

return it ASAP...prob covered under warrenty

this "Wilson" company is KRONK...too many broken MP3 players...

buy something with a better brand name next time...

Hmm, buy something, it works. Try to fix something that isn't broke.........and now it's broken. Once it won't turn on, no way to fix it.

there are good alternatives. Sid suggested iRiver and BenQ.... spend some money and get some quality... please, for your own peace of mind.... and ours

Remember, if you got lots of money, get a 4th generation iPod. If not, check out BenQ. I have used the iRiver and--while it is really good--I just did not like it as much as the iPod. Personal preference only though. You guys might like it way better than iPod.

guys i have the same problem about my mp3 player.. i also try to upgarde it from the http:\\Wilson.co.ltd and after the upgrading it turned to become a christmas ligths... and also our computer doesnt detect any usb device even i reinstall the drivers... please help me guys....

hiya i bought an s1 mp3 player that i think is quite old from tecnett2000 on ebay tryed to find firmware upgrade and now its broken trying to find the previous firmware version 3.0.46 do you know where to find it?

yes where do we download the firmware? is it possible to download the firmware and reinstall it?

It is a fanpage of some french person, but sadly, he doesn't make it clear it's a fansite.

We have seen this mistake quite often at our own forums.
Our forums are solely dedicated to the wilson s1mp3 player, and we have built up quite a bit of expertise on recovering dead players.

We're actually dedicated to making an opensource replacement firmware (which is veeeery slow work), but in the meanwhile, we're being generally nice people, and help others with their broken players.
I think it's safe to say we're te most knowledgable source on the web (save maybe the producer, but they're chinese) about the wilson s1mp3 player.
(among others: we have a collection of about a 100 different firmwares, which may or may not work for your player, but you can always try)

i have got an mp3 player which i have ugraded the firmware on
the program said it was done successfully but now my mp3 player wont play any music and will ony work as a USB hdd the main screen wont even turn on.
When my S1 mp3player(Wilson Co. LTD) was upgraded from ver3.2.13 to ver3.2.16 by adding AMV supported firmware , it cannot display normally and even doesn't work.What should I do??? Where can I download the old version to refresh the firmware by old ver3.2.13???

you can send your mp3 to its factory or a mp3 shop,then let some worker fix it .
