One of my friends compys was giving him fits so i went over for a lookskie. It is hooked up with an integrated lan, nic card and modem. The integrated lan blew a while back so the nic was being used for the primary internet connection. All of a sudden it decided not to work properly. For some reason it is still sending data like it is supposed to and says it is working properly but not showing up on the taskbar or actually connecting to the network. Therefore the modem (equipped with AOL ) has to be used for their internet. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. What is the problem?

but seriously, same thing happened to me, network connection was fine (printing/LAN gaming), but could not get online. Ran S&D and adaware BOTH, and haven't had that problem since. i do a monthly sweep now, and couple more times when i remember to do so!
