Hey guys, I was wondering, since this is my very first athlon 64 build and I want a little extra juice outta my extreme budget computer. I have voltage and FSB options all in the mobo BIOS, question is, what settings should I use to get that extra power I oh-so-badly need? Anything not mentioned is considered either onboard (like sound) or not included in the system (like a floppy)
System Specs:
Leadtek nVidia GeForce 6200 Turbocache (up to 128MB) w/ ngo drivers (@ 410/820)
Socket 754 AMD Athlon 64 2800+ w/ stock cooling (and 2 80mm case fans as intake/exhaust)
Toshiba 16x DVD-ROM SD-M1912
V-Data 1x 512MB PC3200 DDR RAM
Foxconn NF4K8AB-RS nForce4 Socket 754 w/PCI-Express
Gigafast 802.11b Wireless PCI Ethernet Card
80GB 7200RPM 8MB Cache Serial ATA/150 HDD
450 Watt PSU (case has 2 80mm fans and front LED's, cant take much power can they?)
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

First off, why is this "oh-so-badly" needed? You should be fine. Secondly, I doubt your ram will clock for shit. (i DOUBT)
That leaves you with more or less one option.
However, I'v never used an A64 but I understand them to be similiar to most mobo/procs. Up the FSB but lower the divider. i.e I have my 200/200 (CPU/FSB) set to 250/200 (cpu @ 250, ram at 200). That gives me extra power CPU wise but keeps my FSB the same. I recomend doing something like that. Not those speeds exactly as a 250/200 probably wouldn't work for you. Keep in mind if you go below 250 (which I recomend) you need a new divider. The one I use for mine 5:4
If you wanted to O/c to say 230 (if I remember correct the 2.8's have 1.8ghz stock) then it would be 2,070~ MHZ which would be a start. I don't beleive your CPU is known for overclocking much past stock, I'm sure some do. I'm not positive, that should be a start. Also, keep the stock voltage at stock if possible. I ALWAYS run 2.8vdimm because it's silly not to. Well, for me anyway. If you have any further questions that I MAY be able to assist w/, AIM me.

Goku the god of overclocking has spoken. If Goku says it you can take it to the bank cause he has blown up more stuff going fast than Jeff Gordon

Haha. I haven't broken anything in well over a year now

.
I held 2nd highest (air, stock 'gpu') cooled O/C for a while, too.
I really like my system right now, stable as hell minus my buggy Windows XP install, (over a year since my re-install as well..)
Any luck with your endeavor?

If the 2800+ is a Clawhammer she should be decent.
I have that ram in a rig and it does 230 1:1 so that won't hold you back too much.....especially if you are happy to use a divider.
If you set you rram divider to 166 and work your HTT up a lil at a time you should get well over 2 ghz assuming the board isn't flaky.
My 2800+ ran to 2.4 before she choked.
Just make sure you prime her once in a while and keep an eye on temps when you add the inevitible vcore increases.
The stock cooler will limit you a bit but you should still get a decent o/c out of it.
Oh and make sure the PCI lock is working
