Try checking your environmental settings. Make sure it is not set for something odd, like auditorium.

what operating system are you using? what drivers? That should be a descent card.

Although, i hate to say it but I would have gotten a "standard" Creative Labs SoundBlaster Audigy just because their hardware tends to be supported everywhere

I know, I will probably get flamed for saying that. I still have an old SoundBlaster 32 ISA card that sounds superb in my old box.

I also have an Aureal Vortex 2 card... mmm that baby still rules the pci sound card world for me.

But I dont need them anymore because I have the nForce DD 5.1 hardware decoder built in.

The Audigy 2 is an amazing card and probably let down again by poor and uneeded software again.

Hmm. I can't remember what it is called but there is a "certain" type of "function" to allow a sound card to play different sources at once. I bet you've done everything correctly and it's just a limitation of the sound card. I would advise you to take it back. The Turtle Beach Santa Cruz is a nice card.

BTW, My Audigy 2 is great.

There are two bugs though (of course)

1. Displayed as "Audigy" in Device Manager, should be Audigy 2. Confirmed bug from Creative.

2. The Media Source Launcher: do not install it because it will stop working.

I read through the Creative Audigy Newsgroup before I bought this card.

Any smart person can take the INF and change the text from Audigy to Audigy 2.

Why oh why always me, I think your right, there may be a setting, but you know what, thats gay for it not to work, if anyone has it and knows how to fix it or could find out that would be great, not re-installing it because I dont feel like doing that... so if anyone knows.. please inform me..

Well yeah but you shouldn't have to do that.
