I still have fond memories of it. My Win 95 SE was so fast and stable. It was a great gaming station.

I still use WIn98SE on my store equipment. The software is written for DOS and it just plain don't like XP. It will run on XP but it doesn't run well. 98SE is a great stable system and if you can give up the bells and wistles of XP it does just fine.

Yup i do dual boot too.

I use 98 especially for oldskool DOS games (the comp i run dual-boot on isn't my main rig and it's too weak to handle dosbox well enough) and for some windoze games that simpy won't run on XP (like Carmageddon II :P)

I convinced all my friends to upgrade to Windows XP because it's so easy to use and not very demanding in terms of hardware. I believe the weakest system I put it on was a Pentium 2 300MHz, 64MB SD RAM and 1GB harddrive. I had to use nLite to cut down windows XP's size so it would fit, but it worked flawlessly once the drivers were loaded. I think Windows XP was at 540ish MB after installation, took quite a while to find the drivers though having had to cut them all out of WinXP, yet it retained surprising functionality.

Correction: I remember taking the machine apart and finding an old-school pentium MMX, at least thats what it said on the processor icon_lol.gif
