Mr. aNu$
Hi all,

I upgraded my Mp4 Player with a wrong firmware.
My player is that one:
http://www.hk-mjn.com/prod_detail_ger.asp?id=83

Firmwareversion: 3.2.08

I don't know where I can get the firmware. I wrote an e-mail to the manufacturer, but they don't ask me.
If anyone have this player, please extract your fimrware and send it to me.
Use this tool: http://www.stud.uni-karlsruhe.de/~uwa8/s1m...d/s1fwx_v26.zip

Open the extract.bat, press enter and select your player device. Now the firmware file is in the same directory like the tool.

best regards,
Mr. aNu$

It is going to take a brave soul to do this. Download a file from someone that you do not know and run it on your computer ......

especially considering the user name icon_smile.gif

You can scan the file with an anti-virus program, you will see that it is clean.
Goofproof
After they have damages their stuff screwing with it unnecessarily. I am glad I got my D-Link ROQ player, It was costly and big and heavy but at 10 gig and 4 years old and still working great it was worth it. And no I didn't mess with it's hard drive or firmware. icon_razz.gif

That is beautiful for you, but on such commentaries I can abstain.
Either you support me or you let it remain and doesn't write
such an useless sh*t, that don't help me.

Just because it does not contain a virus does not mean that it cannot harm someones computer. It could be some unknown virus or be some other type of malware.

no no no

no virus's on my website i hate the bloody things
Mr. aNu$
@alister
One question, why wanted I to give you a virus?
I need your help and not your damage.
Why are you actually so distrustful, alister?
I think you are one of the kind, that doesn't want to help me.
So, your postings are superfluously.

Well it's a cut and paste from the manufacturers website. I got it on Monday from a mate who'd been to Hong Kong. I went crazy, it was cool. I even registered my warranty (first time in my life). A couple of hours later it stopped working properly (mp3 which disappeared, videos it didn't play, etc). I decided to use the firmware upgrade utility that came on the CD and my MP4 stopped working period. after some hours on the internet i found the s1 mp3.org site, I started taking apart my mp4, doing the short circuit stuff (which worked!!!) and fnally managed to update the thing with a wilson Mp4 f/w (An A2 according to their nomenclature) . Now I have a 1gb removable harddrive with no other use, no mp3, no radio, no viedo, nada.

The problem is that my Board is hp-735c-stl ui.2 2005-12-05 which is something the internet has never heard of. Any help will be repaid with a lifetime of happiness. cocky.gif

The player is manufactured in China by a company named Skyfield. I got a few hits on it, you might find more if you keep digging but most of the webs sites seem to be geared toward sales not support. There are a few eBay stores selling this brand (Skyfield) but the listings were all in German. One of these eBay stores might have info on where to get the firmware for it. Good luck.

i try to look at your player but it seems that the link that you've given is dead
im just giving you some tips Mr.anu$ on how to determine the right firmware for your player.
First you need to identify your board, chip and memory!in order to see this you will have to detach the back cover of your player, the board is written in a white background,it is either located at the green board or under the lcd at the front
and after you've identified that you can easily look for the right firmware for your player.

For those of you who are having the same problem,
Please e-mail me at mark_gudez666@yahoo.com
