It is bad enough that I am stuck on dial-up for the foreseeable (sp?) future. but now 1-3 days without even that!!!

Freaking verizon cut a fiber line and now I got nothing. Although it does make my dial-up seem fast...compared to NOTHING!!

I take it a satellite connection is out of the question, then? Assuming that all of those types of ISPs haven't filed for bancruptcy, of course. If Verizon cut a fibre line, why aren't they offering DSL in that neck of the woods?

I was posting from work in the middle of the night, when all the other good boys and girls are sleeping.

I told my ISP to kiss off, still down...day 3. I think the verizon thing was crap.

It is a small, more local provider that is affiliated with my phone company. We are soooo rural even our phone company is a COOP. :wink:
