Well, I get this really annoying blescreen (I guess all are..) and I can't fix the problem.. The following messsange is this

QUOTE(The bluescreen)
A problem has been detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

The problem seems to be caused by the following file: nv4_disp

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

The device driver got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly.

Please check with your hardware device vendor for any driver updates

Ok , I know it's the driver but can't seem to fix it-

I runned the PC in safe mode and tried to uninstall all drivers, download the newest driver available, and install that. Still not working..

GFXcard: Nvidia GeForce 6800
running Windows XP
The chase got plenty of space around it and has a lot of holes so it should get enough air... The PC is pretty new, bought it last fall with mostly the hot-stuff available then..
If someone needmore details, just ask for them!

Thanks a lot for the help cocky.gif

What motherboard are you using?

I had this problem a few years ago. It was due to a PNY Nvidia GFX card, is that the make of your GFX card?

Motherboard is a Intel 915P-express chipset. (Hope I translated this right from Norwegian fragend013.gif )

i would use a driver removel program (although someone will have to recomend one) then reinstall the vid driver. help.gif
Coz
I believe I fixed my NV4Disp.dll problem by installing a "un-official" set of drivers. Such as omegadrivers or something similar, eg: 3rd party drivers.

I do not believe omegadrivers support nvidia anymore though.

As far as your Graphics card manufacturer, is it pny?
