Alot of brave peeps here. I never buy the first of anything. Let someone else work out the problems first.

If I was buying a motherboard right now it would be Abit's Nforce 2 and sorry to say this but its almost 100% user fault most errors.

No, everyone iv read said its stable as a rock a few ups and downs so far this road is leading up, thinking about ordering mine tonight. Pain, your just against nForce cuz of the onboard video as of talking to you earlier, as iv read the asus is a very stable and o/c'able board some guy got 500 megahurtz with a standard fan cpu, thats the same as ur with ur watercooling, but whatever i know u know more about it then i, i wont go into that too much, think imma order it tonight with a stick og 512, supposedly one stick better for overclocking as iv read EVERYWHERE.

You don't have to have onboard video on the Nforce 2 boards you can get them without as well.

im not totally against nforce...just "I" dont think "I" need it...it doesnt suit me....i like to tinker and have seen alot of problems on other forum about nforce too...but ALSO that's what forums are for - problems and chats....and thanks J i didnt know u could get them without GFX in them....and yes...one stick is usually better for OCing but seek time two sticks are better...

Jason, I forget your specs, are you saying this from hands on experience? Or just because you hope/believe N-force broards are golden?

I am pretty sure the NForce has been through countless tests, they released it didn't they?

Just because something has been released doesn't mean it has been tested under every, or even most, configurations and conditions. Until manufacturers stop trying to support every piece of hardware made since 1996, there will be configurations that just plain don't work or work like crap. The people that have those 'special' configurations will also be the loudest complainers. It's sort of a Murphy's Law kind of thing.
This is all on top of the fact that equipment manufacturers are trying anything and everything they can think of to cut production costs. Usually, this means cheaper components and/or fewer layers in the PCB. Both of these cause stability issues under the right set of circumstances.

The MoBo works far beyond my expectations. And I agree, the problem I am having could very well be some sort of user(CoZ) induced problem.
I am pleased as punch with this Motherboard. Every single benchmark in Sandra 2003 went up. Hard Drive data seek, Video test, CPU, everything.
The only things I "upgraded" with this new Mobo is the memory. Same HD's, same CPU, same video.... but still all my benchmarks went up from my old VIA based MoBo.
That is saying something, I think.

No problems... Just a lot of new technology that many here may not fully understand.
If I built that rig, it would work correctly. CoZ is still learning.... give him a break

give him break...he's a cop...its about the only time we "CAN" get away with it and not get a ticket

vegetto... he can use the new t-bred b's that support FSB 333/400 and coupled with good DDR400 and a real healthy 2700/2800+ it would probably beat your "old" Intel. These guys don't have huge budgets from the amount of RAM they are buying and the CPU's.

Coz is a very picky person, so if hes pleased with the product, that says a lot for the product.
Nforce is freakin golden by the way.
