The police have been watching my house for about a week now, we're under heavy surveillance. There's been a couple times where I've caught the police sitting out front looking through our windows, then driving off when they see me. Apparently they are watching us because they think we are trafficking pot, crack, and other things out of the house using my GF's friends... They are getting ready to do a drug bust and our roommate is at his mom's for a few days due to this. But... only problem is that there are no drugs coming from the house, some of kaylas little buddies brings pot over here and they smoke up, no matter how many times we tell them not to because the house has been under surveillance for alot longer than a week, but for other reasons unknown, yet they do it anyway. One of the kids went home and told their parents that kayla was supplying them pot and other things, even though we dont even have $5 for gas in the car.

MY question is what could happen if they do bust in here? I know busts and stings aren't taken lightly by police due to the serverity and dangerousness of drug dealers. But would it be possible that they could haul us off to jail, even if there is nothing here? My phone is tapped now, and not sure what else they're monitoring visually, audially, or electronically (even this?).

I need some help as to what will happen to us, during and after the bust, if any. I know they wont find anything because... well... We have nothing.

GET A LAWYER NOW so if you get jailed, you know who to call.

AND put all your porno and downloaded shit up at someones house, scrub the computer if you do any "illegal" searches (ya know, overthrowing governments and all, kiddie porn is illegal AND sick IMO)

i would get that place ship shape. if ya got nothing to hide, they won't find shit. clean everything, and get organized so you know there ain't any remnants from the pot smoking, like pipes, rollers, papers, etc

we already called them and told them they're not allowed here anymore. we got no porno and nothing illegal on my computer... aside from the music and video games, but as far as I know, in canada, I cant be charged with it... yet

I hope they give up, there's a blue van sittin out front with an undercover cop or two, they keep leaving and coming back, changing their positions each time.

Why dont you call and ask the cops why their checkin you out. If no repley. Call a lawyer and let him ask. If you are doin nothing wrong this is a simple thing to straighten out.

Don't tell them to go get high anywhere, just tell them It is not acceptable in your house. (you don't want to have encourged any illegal behavior)


best advise yet, there probably is some sort of free/very low priced legal aid available to you.
The lawyer can protect you for accedentally making a mistake in any statement to the police (no matter what they say, they are not there to "help you" clear up any misunderstandings.
A lawyer can file a writ to force them to make charges or back off.
either way may not be cheap or easy, but this will give you some control over the outcome, sitting and waiting only allows you to react when they are ready

You need an attorney to advise you how to proceed under the circumstances you have outlined. If you have nothing to conceal that is illegal, and are doing nothing illegal you may wish to call the police, after you discuss this with an attorney first, to come over and advise you in the best ways to secure the house (doors and windows) in all rooms from intruders, or those that wish to burglarize your home! The police will give you good advise, and help you secure your home from outside intruders, and may give you the number of social services that can help you with potential problems you may have with young people doing grass or drugs in your home.

Again , follow advice giving by others in this thread, and speak to an attorney for advice! Note if it is your girlfriend's friends or not, you are still culpable under the law in any commission of a crime in this situation. You may wish to discuss this with your girlfriend, and come to some sort of an agreement about her loader friends enjoying the park instead of your home-especially, if you may end up in the slam, or go through a court proceeding-time and money bit. u need to make sure the kids arent smoking in ur house... and then get LEGAL AID!! as far as i am aware the police will find something to put u in jail for if they cant find what they want to pin u down for to get some time to put u down... having the kids smoking in ur house can easily be one of those reasons.. cover ur back first and make sure u havent done anything or are doing anything illegal and get some legal aid.
