I've bought an mp3 from a "suspicous" company... I think that it is suspicious because there´s no label to identified the company that made this mp3..
Now the mp3 works fine but it anounces that it allow's firmware upgrade... now the problem is that i dont know where to look for properly firmware... so I'd apreciate if anyone could help me...
All I can tell you about the mp3 is that it is somehow related to a company named ASKA...
It is very similar to an ipod nano...
It as a 1GB memory and it also plays mp4...
Oh and the store where I bought it tell s me that is an ASKA IPO 1GB... that's all that they can tell me...

I sure Hope to find any help in here cause im getting really deseperated...
If you find anything you can also send me an e-mail to jkarloskruz_56@hotmail.com

As pappy says, if it isn't broke, don't fix it. If you look deeper is the forums, you will find about 100 posts that people "upgraded" thier player and it no longer works. fragend013.gif

But if he upgrades it, it will have the 21 inch LCD screen , for $25 that's some bargain.

Yeah. Please, we beg you, DO NOT UPGRADE!! This is a trick to get you to ruin your player so you have to go buy another one.

I don't upgrade ANY firmware unless I am having a specific problem. The only time I did upgrade when I was not having a problem was yesterday when I let MS upgrade the firmware of my Xbox 360. I trust them and this is not a "no brand" piece of equipment.

If you upgrade--and it will ruin your player, no doubt of that--then you are on your own. We have never once been successful in helping anyone making their player work again.

Sorry, but that is life. Now, if you bought a new iPod, and they said they had an upgrade from Apple, I would do that.

dont, upgrade ..especially for the unbranded ...the chances to fail looks like 90%

You does not have any need to take tension about it if it is working fine. You want an Mp3 and they provide you that. Its nothing Serious. dope.png
