what I want to do is basicly take my stock QVC bought computer. (it was a good deal)
and put it into a kick A$$ case. It's mobo is a ATX, but I'm not sure wat else. I changed the burner on it today by myself...hey give me a break it's a big step for a n00b like me, and I want to progress further to custom computing. can anyone give me ideas or wise advice or their 2 cents...I knw I can do it....and I want to, but I want to learn more then anything about the hardware of a comp...then the tech stuff. So, Oh great masters of computers call unto me and give-ith me their thoughts, advice, or even help. (last one I'll need most of)
Also let me knw if u think I'm in over my head.

Well, there are TONS of good cases. These guys should be able to help you out. Pappy and Ace are great resources on this kind of stuff. I hope the suggest some stuff as I have not kept up with the Jones' as they have.

What kind of budget are you thinking about when you consider what you want to pay for these upgrades?

Newegg.com is a great place to price out stuff you want, then make a list, then go check pricegragger.com or pricewatch.com for best prices.

BUT!! Be careful!! I got burned badly dealing with shops that gave me the lowest price. Now I do most all my business with reputable places like Newegg.com because of the excellent treatment, shipping, and return policies.

that is a nice case , but remember that what you have now may be proprietary and the motherboard may not fit in the new case as well as the PSU.
nice thing is-----with the new case you can ask for a MB combo and vid card for Xmas or a birthday! icon_biggrin.gif
