I'm lookin for a old used comp...not a half ton giant but definatly used so I can practise on it. learn how fix it, upgrade it, and make it better. Just somin to get some experience for the classes I'll be takin next year at school. can anyone help me out? I'm willing to pay 200-300 dollars.

Check out some garage sales on Saturdays and Sundays! There are always computers and computer equipment for sale. Your concern will be buying too much old stuff, because the prices are generally very good. Interestingly, much of the time the owners will have them running to prove they can at least turn on. Yet, I have turned down many computers that people just wanted to just give to me, i.e., after you talk with them, and they feel you are an honest person, and try not to give them a hard time. Big problem is getting a lot of stuff-even if it is free, or low priced. The Salvation Army stores and Goodwill stores are other sources as well. Good hunting!
