I recently purchased an mp4 player on ebay, yes a generic one icon_smile.gif. The product came to me in good condition and all, except that it won't show up on my computer. It says plug & play compatible along with usb 1.1-2.0 data transfer. It clearly states that no drivers are need for Windows XP, yet when I plug it in virtually nothing happens to my computer.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Are you turning on the power once you plug it in?

Is it fully charged when you plug it in and turn on the power?

Can you try a different cable if that does not work?

I'm grasping at straws here....

Does the MFG have a website or support of any kind?
seems like that might be the place to start

also is UPnP enabled on your computer?
XP can't find it unless it's allowed to look
