The first thing I noticed is that Newegg does not warranty the product so if it is defective it must be shipped to the manufacturer (somewhere in China most likely). Then I attempted to get on the SupportPlus web site (www.supportplus.cn) but it kept timing out on me. Be prepared for some frustration getting support for this thing.

I mainly want music...but I want movies for those long trips into the wilderness..lol
can anyone rec anything...I don't really want an iPod, I want somin different but if I must I'll get one..

If you looking for just music, I have an IPod shuffle, and I think it is wonderful. Great for walking and taking to gym. And I understand from my richer friends The bigger Ipod is even better. Never had a problem with it, and the program is easy to download and transfer music.

I herd you can only use iTunes for it..

Get a new 80GB iPod- $350 on apple.com. Well worth it to spend the extra $.

You heard wrong, I downloaded from my own music files. But if you find something better go for it. Good luck and let me know what ya find.

Good choice, I had some issues that I didn't like with my iPod cause I was a newb at using it and then I figured a bunch of stuff out and love it.

Although they have a lot of buyers posting good comments about the quality, I would like to know how the unit is when YOU get it. Please let us know when you have had a chance to look over it!! wheeeeeh:

it works fine, just be prepard to call Apple about the iTunes...anyway it's sweet except for the fact that I can bairly get music on to it....gonna hve to play with it for a day or 2.

I noticed the link went to a iPod Photo for $199. For that much cash, I would want it to play videos too. When is Zune going for sale?

Why did you buy the iPod Photo model and will it play videos?

I bought a iPod Photo because I have a portable dvd player...and why should I spend extra for a video iPod?
The photo...no it won't play videos...but it does have a slideshow feature that allows you to look at high-def pics...of course their on a 2inch screen but still...I am planing to get a Zune later next year.
