Recipe: Beercake
500 Grams of Dark/Brown Sugar. (In danish this is called brun farin, not sure about the english term for this)
1 Beer. (Just a regular 33cl beer, I'd not recommend using dark beer like Guinness, just a regular beer)
1 Tea-Spoonful cinnamon. (with top)
1 Tea-Spoonful ginger. (with top)
1 Tea-Spoonful clove. (with top) (in danish this is Nelliker)
1 Tea-Spoonful natron. (flat one, its very important) (in danish, strøget)
500 Grams of flower.
Mix it all up, make sure there arent too many clumps in it.
Now take a form, like you bake bread in or such, butter it up and fill the mix into it.
Bake at 180 degrees for 1½ hour.
Its very important that you dont use an air heated oven.
Can be eaten either warm or cold, but I think most prefer it cold, and it's superb with butter on it.
