So I have a couple of lightly used Maxtor MaxLine Plus II 250GB SATA/150 drives sitting on a shelf so I thought I would see what I could get for them.
What I am really hoping for is a trade for the best processor my motherboard can take, an Athlon XP 3200+ (like that's a possibility)
Since that's highly unlikely, I guess the floor is open for offers. Short of a decent proc, cold cash is my next choice. How much? Make an offer. If it's a good one, they could be yours. I would of course run a thourough diagnostic on both drives before accepting anything, but I'm positive there is no problem with them.

That's a somewhat tempting offer, but I already have a surplus of motherboards taking up space in my computer room. What I need is processors to run them.

The XP 3200 is on e-bay for as little as $80.

wdoll: you're right - i see that one vendor is dumping quite a few of the XP 3200+ procs. that's sure to drive the price even lower than $80. Just a few weeks ago these were selling for $130, used.
SurGen: I have 4 Asus P4C800 boards that still need to be tested (as well as 4 Radeon 9250's).
I also have an MSI K7N2 and an ASUS A7N8X-Deluxe, both working fine.
I'm trying to take my A7N8X as far as I can for the least amount of money. It already has 1GB RAM and a Radeon All-In_Wonder X800 XT. That leaves the processor. It has a XP 2500+ and the fastest proc the board will take is a 3200+ and that's what i'm trying to get.

Sorry for the delay in replying, working overnights is a bitch, lol.
As I said in the original post:

In fact, the first one is being scanned by SpinRite as I sit here.
