hello all,
i recently bought a 4GB mp4 player off ebay, and ive read a few other posts and ive heard most of the ppl say that no one should buy those, yeah its one of those ipod knock off's.
but, well imma college student, desperate for music, tight on cash supply, so i bought this one off ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...fromZR40QQfviZ1

so i am having a few problems with it, but im going to ask your help for the most important one first...

when i plug in the mp4 player, my laptop reads it, then what do i do? add music to it?
well i tried 3 different ways to do dat, 1) sync'ing using windows media player 2) good ol' drag n' drop 3) adding files onto it using the media manager software i got with it.

and none of those worked. how they didnt work?
well when i add the music onto it, it takes hella long of a time, and then it seems like all my songs have been copied onto the mp4 player, but its not really wat has happened.
like after a while i go in my file browser and into my mp4 player to see if the songs are all well and such, but thats when i realise that some of the songs werent even copied onto it, and most of the songs that were copied onto it were copied like from twice upto 6 times each, in which case i see 6 of each song, the first version being 0KB and the rest attaining the song's original size, and not that this is a dsplay issue, when i go to the properties of the mp4 player, the same amount of memory is occupied as if the songs *were* purposely repeatedly copied onto the mp4 player 7.gif
ok well 2 times be4 the songs were copied properly, none of the songs were copied or left out, 'technically'
in some of the folders that i downloaded into the mp4 player, the songs werent even in it, all i saw was some random file type, with sum random character-name, characters that are unique every single time i see a file of that type in my mp4 player , and a character ive neevr seen be4, well they apparently show in the file browser to hold no memory space in the disk's volume but they do, and they are not possible to be deleted, i tried that, it keeps on giving me an error messege => "Cannot delete: " Thats it! thats all it shows me, or tells me.
then all i have to do is format it, loosing some of the songs that even got on there ,

Well lets say i ignore the stupid strange files that replace some of the songs in the mp4 player, when i turn on the mp4 player, and go to the files browser, i see the song file just liek i did on my laptop, but wwhen i go ahead and try to play the file, the player freezes for 2 or 3 seconds and then restarts, for sum really fukin annoyng reason, sorry for my language but jeez it is really killing me, so is all this typing, well
im jus being as much detailed i can be so i can get as much help as i can....

i emailed the person i bought it from, not much help, he seems to think im a computer-illeterate, which im not, and keeps on telling me these things i already know of, so im just going to see if some one out there can help me.

i thought of upgrading/changing the firmware, but i dont know where i can get the proper firmware....

ny help would help

Thanks!!
Desperate for help.
