ok, my brother called me tonight and asked me how to rip a dvd onto the computer...
he recorded a film with one of those old crappy 8mm cameras, put it in the vcr/dvd....and recorded onto a dvd...
he wants to edit the film in Movie Maker...does anyone have any suggestions?

ok maybe not...he says about 3/4 of the way throw the movie it becomes like a bad Godzilla film...the audio comes about 30 seconds after the mouths move...
anyone have a clue?

Unless you have a great powerful computer...you cant do anything while its encoding...and I mean nothing.
