Where's your dream vacation?....u have an unlimited bank account to do whatever you please...where would you go?
and what would you do?
mine is to
Helsinki, Finland...just because I've always had a fascination about finland. It's many countries combined
after that I'd tour all of Europe, Germany Ireland, England, Lithuania, the whole deal.

That is a tough one indeed.
I would have to say a trip to Australia, the Carribean and a stop at Disney (for the kids) on the way back.

A huge trip to meet all my buddies from TheForumBar and 4peeps. Yeah, I know, I could go anywhere however it is not the sites I see but the great people I've met that mean more to me than historical sites. The second trip would be to Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Always wanted to go to those countries. The first trip would include England, Ireland and Scotland to meet some TFB members who are great pals.

-first, finish my jeep. Shaddup-
then, get all the carnets, fees, and assorted beurocratic BS out of the way and take the jeep and family to Australia. Spend at least a year circumnavigating it, seeing, among other things, Ayers' Rock.
Then once we're home-- maybe do the Alcan and the TAT.

I dunno. Too many cool trips to be had.
I'd probably take a European vacation, highlighting Northern Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, and finally Great Britain. Along the way I'd visit Maranello, Modena, Brescia, Vicenza, Innsbruck, take the 'castle tour' in Germany, then get lost in Denmark (family stuff there) for a few weeks. Hop to GB during brass band competition and see some sites (and friends) there as well - maybe take in an ASCAR race or hit the drags, with a side-trip to Scotland maybe (if they'll have me). Also wouldn't mind a couple days in Izmir, Turkey as well - hit all the sites there, along with some of the beach towns I missed last time.
Something more realistic has me trailering the Jeep to either Colorado or Moab during the 'off season', hooking up with some friends and checking out some 'easy' trails. I'd love to check out Telluride, Moab, and just putz around North and Norteastern Utah for a week or so as well.

How hard yuo think it'll be to talk Mongo into trailering our jeeps out that way?

After being in the US Navy for six years - I really want to take a long cruise where I can just lie around, eat, drink, and watch other people work. (Sort of like the Marines do when they are aboard ship) If they have Caribbean cruises that go through the Panama Canal and up the west coast to Alaska, that's what I'd do.

Dude, if your Jeep can make it all the way to Texas, what's another 800 miles?
As for having him swing by and pick you and yours up on the way - he might expect you to hook him up with all that bio-diesel stuff you've been on about.

wouldnt be a problem, either. It's not rocket science. We already converted a coworker's diesel Chevy to WVO (it's WVO, not biodiesel, that I'll be running BTW)
I already have the bulk of the system designed in my head. It'd jst be a matter of space constraints and the like for his truck-- which, being a Ram, wouldn't be an issue.
