Yee, I thought my comp was on the fritz. Had some trouble with my ISP's DNS server earlier today. I thought it might have reared its ugly head once again. icon_biggrin.gif
Snuffy
I like it! Kinda kinky!
Coz
It is pretty cool so far. Could use a little 'brightening' though...
Felix4067
I don't see anything different...is that because I'm using the 4Peeps Dark colour scheme already?
burntkat
: nods:

I dig it. icon_smile.gif

kinda kinky. now where's the dancing girls and scotch?
pappy177
Bull will be rite there! take some pepto bismo first !!
bull
I will work with it however you people want. The Carbon theme is one I downed. I can play with it or the 4peepsdark theme can be modified.
Coz
I take it the 'carbon theme' is the 'default' one now? Anyone else notice a slight 'flicker' in the monitor? I am using my laptop LCD and I can see some sort of 'flicker' in the gray areas. It is hard/odd to explain. Don't know if the same effect is on a CRT.
the_burner
Yur, noticed the flicker myself yesterday, not today though. Might be it's morning and I'm only half awake now.
Dragonfly
Suspect that there may be some issues with the color contrasts for those that may have some visual acuity problems, e.g., myopic and sensitive vision difficulties. Do not believe many in this league are going to fight the contrast and vividness of the this new color scheme. So, you may indeed lose some member participation and frighten off a few new visitors, and potential members. Would suggest a lighter background that does not make for a lot of checking out during the interaction process, and easier on the eyes in terms of strain, uncertainty, especially with word recognition. An excellent innovative effort bull. thumbup1.gif icon_smile.gif
pappy177
ya , this dark is not so good
AceHigh
I see no difference, BUT, I don't mess around with my settings. icon_wink.gif
the_burner
Ah, quite whining you old poops. icon_biggrin.gif icon_wink.gif
bull
Let's try 4peepsdark for the default and see how that goes.

Remember, you can change yours to whatever you want at the bottom left of the page. icon_wink.gif

Actually, this may be a first-even beyond the level of Bill Gates and company! Imagine, being able to use your computer, notebook, or other electronic devices on the front line in the thick of it? The enemy can't see this screen, therefore all can have a device that can be tuned on at all times-would have worked well in during WWII when blackouts were demanded and air raid wardens would knock at your door if they spotted any infractions, like light! Perhaps, Mr. Gates will decide to buy this process from 4 peeps, and we all cah have an eternal party time. thumbup1.gif tongue_smilie.gif
Dragonfly
Works great bull! Nice move. thumbup1.gif thumbup1.gif thumbup1.gif tongue_smilie.gif
bull
Kinda the best of both worlds. Gets the more modern dark, but easy on the eyeballs. thumbup1.gif
pappy177
now thats nicer for guests
uNtOldPAIN
yes that does look good
bull
Anything you see that could look better, drop me a line. This is one of my skins. icon_wink.gif
bull
I darkened it up a bit, but it still seems easy on my old eyes.

What you peeps think? I can make changes or even come up with something different.

When I skin, I generally start with a header and work from there. If anybody finds something cool for a header background...we can see.
Coz
I switched back to Carbon and I don't see the 'flicker' anymore. Did you 'fix' that?
bull
No, the Carbon theme is not mine. I am not sure where the flicker came from, just glad it's gone?

Coz
Flicker is back. Damnit! LoL
pappy177
coz quit smokeing that stuff and blinking so much! 28.gif
bull
I am thinking it is something in the way the Carbon theme is made. If I get time this weekend, I will try to build something similar that I can have more control over.
Coz
Cool. Because the carbon theme has grown on me. Usually I HATE 'dark theme' stuff.... but for some reason this has grown on me.
Snuffy
See thats how i was when Bull first let out the Dark Theme. But i got used to it. I tried that with the Carbon, but it didnt hook. Maybe i didnt give it enough time.
uNtOldPAIN
I love carbon <3
Snuffy
WHO ASKED YOU? hah
bull
I will try to play with the Carbon theme and clean it up a bit this weekend.
the_burner
