Yee, I thought my comp was on the fritz. Had some trouble with my ISP's DNS server earlier today. I thought it might have reared its ugly head once again.

I will work with it however you people want. The Carbon theme is one I downed. I can play with it or the 4peepsdark theme can be modified.

Sep 21 2007, 09:44 PM
I take it the 'carbon theme' is the 'default' one now? Anyone else notice a slight 'flicker' in the monitor? I am using my laptop LCD and I can see some sort of 'flicker' in the gray areas. It is hard/odd to explain. Don't know if the same effect is on a CRT.

Yur, noticed the flicker myself yesterday, not today though. Might be it's morning and I'm only half awake now.

Suspect that there may be some issues with the color contrasts for those that may have some visual acuity problems, e.g., myopic and sensitive vision difficulties. Do not believe many in this league are going to fight the contrast and vividness of the this new color scheme. So, you may indeed lose some member participation and frighten off a few new visitors, and potential members. Would suggest a lighter background that does not make for a lot of checking out during the interaction process, and easier on the eyes in terms of strain, uncertainty, especially with word recognition. An excellent innovative effort bull.

Actually, this may be a first-even beyond the level of Bill Gates and company! Imagine, being able to use your computer, notebook, or other electronic devices on the front line in the thick of it? The enemy can't see this screen, therefore all can have a device that can be tuned on at all times-would have worked well in during WWII when blackouts were demanded and air raid wardens would knock at your door if they spotted any infractions, like light! Perhaps, Mr. Gates will decide to buy this process from 4 peeps, and we all cah have an eternal party time.

I darkened it up a bit, but it still seems easy on my old eyes.
What you peeps think? I can make changes or even come up with something different.
When I skin, I generally start with a header and work from there. If anybody finds something cool for a header background...we can see.

I switched back to Carbon and I don't see the 'flicker' anymore. Did you 'fix' that?

No, the Carbon theme is not mine. I am not sure where the flicker came from, just glad it's gone?
