otay well i am thinking about getting an 80GB zune and i dont know why but....hmmm okay from the beggining my computer was dead for like 2 1/2 months and yea i bassically had to rebuild the os but hm back to the zune i was wondering if a zune or any other mp3 can use a virus scanner like Spybot S&D so when its discannected from my comp i can scan for virus's even thought its like immposible to get a virus on an mp3 soo yea there was alot of useless crap in there but opions please.

When it is plugged in as a removable drive, I don't see any reason it can't be scanned.

I wouldn't see the point of taking the space when you can just plug it in and scan it.

It's basically a HD with firmware and software for playing formats...so yes you can use it for storage....and suck it into another computer... open it like a hard drive..

Unless it shows up as an MTP Device, in which case idk about running programs from them.

I'm not sure about Zunes, but if you have an iPod you can use them basically like an external hard drive, so you can make a folder for installing programs (like anti-viruses) and running them from the drive it shows up as. So basically...

1. Install antivirus to iPod
2. Run antivirus from directory on iPod you installed it to.
3. Be happy.

My friend has one & he's installed stuff like AVG & UT2K4 to take over to peoples houses to run on their computers. It's the same basic thing with installing programs to flash drives & running them from there.
