Anyone use that program?

Right now I am using "RemotleyAnywhere" but it is quite the little system hog. Just curious as to the UltraVNC program because it is 'free' and it's "open source" and is 'small'.

Just worried about switching over to something "new"
terabyte
I use the free VNC but never the Ultra VNC. Where can I get it? I'd like to check it out.

I downloaded that program. It took forever and it also stalled during the install.

Well, jeez. Try it for yourself, Coz. Just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for you. I have an old clunker of a comp. Give it a whirl, Earl. icon_biggrin.gif

Nah, no thanks. It's nice not being the 'guinea pig' for once on here. Glad you stepped up to the plate Burner. tongue_smilie.gif

Just ask some of the old timers here about my attempts to always be 'first' in trying out new software and the problems ensued by it. The best part was my attempt to be the first one to install a new set of Creative Live! Soundblaster drivers. Now that was fun! wallbash.gif

No problem, Coz. Always happy to help a brother out. Yeah, I have a really good buddy who is a sharp person like yourself who runs into no end of problems with his PCs. He even took one of those certified repair courses and was actually its top graduate. The down side was if he didn't have bad luck with computers he wouldn't have any luck at all. That and coupled with the fact that he had "bad" computer "Mojo" he usually couldn't find/figure out what was wrong with his comp. He swore up and down that all I had to do was just "look" at his computer and it would start working properly. Bugged him no end. cocky.gif On the other hand, he had built maybe two comps in his life while I had built maybe somewhere between 700 and 1000. Don't get me wrong, I still don't consider myself an expert however I do think I was lucky to be blessed with "problem solving" skills vis a vis computers, to wit: I don't panic when shit happens and I always believe that there is a solution and use "logic" and the process of elimination to find solutions. Since I'm a slow learner my skills were very hard won and hence I've remembered them. icon_wink.gif icon_smile.gif

I've been using it for years without so much as a hiccup. Not a problem at all.

Bwahahahaha. Bazzzinnggg. One for Coz. Sorry bk, but us regular PC users may have a few more issues with configuring and dealing with h.w./s.w. than you. You have far more skills and experience than us regular types.
