my folding starts up and i have an icon on the taskbar but it says "benchmarking" and then stops and disapears ....i reinstalled it 2x now...still the same thing...any ideas

When you re-installed it did you delete everything and re-do it? I don't know what would be causing it for sure but I've heard of bad cores, work units or possibly too high of an overclock being the culprit.

yes i did now...there was a left over folding folder

killing the folder did the trick
