Snow cover over North America and much of Siberia, Mongolia and China is greater than at any time since 1966.

The U.S. National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) reported that many American cities and towns suffered record cold temperatures in January and early February. According to the NCDC, the average temperature in January "was -0.3 F cooler than the 1901-2000 (20th century) average."

We hit our record snowfall at least a week ago for both the winter overall and the month of February. I know the one for February was set in 1900, dunno about the overall total. I do know that it's still snowing and I hate it.

I've got to go out soon and shovel some of the Global Warming off my driveway. icon_smile.gif

All y'all must be getting mine. Here in Winnipeg, we've had about a 1/4 of the snow we usually do for February. I think we are at about 1/2 so far for the winter. No wonder I'm not making any money this winter. Shit.

You could easily make all the money you could ever want and more simply keeping up with my sidewalks and mailbox approach (we hire a guy to plow the driveway). Want to? I'm hugely done with it.

Even this way in southern California, notice that the cold has started to affect the animals too. Many in my yard are starting to migrate south to Mexico-sorry to see them go. icon_smile.gif

Mister 4x4
If that's your yard, you have bigger problems than Global Warming.
Dragonfly
Yard and plants unfortunately just went down hill after the border was shut-down. Very difficult to find competent gardeners this way lately-suspect it is global warming, and fuel price issues for weed eaters, chain saws, and leaf blowers. yes.gif

alberta wants it's snow back

From what I've seen this year on the various regional (around here) news casts, most of the snow destined for Winterpeg is heading North (very rare), south (common) and east of us. We were supposed to get freezing rain, rain, drizzle and 2 cm of snow last night. We received none of the above. Fine by me, however, when the clients of the landscaping company complain about their grass not being green this summer...... icon_smile.gif

OK, we globally warmed here today, but it's supposed to snow again tonight.

Was a little snow last night .... that is me doing the sidewalk again. Street cleaning guys just not around when you really need them-need to dig car out too! icon_smile.gif
