Julio Diaz has a daily routine. Every night, the 31-year-old social worker ends his hour-long subway commute to the Bronx one stop early, just so he can eat at his favorite diner.
But one night last month, as Diaz stepped off the No. 6 train and onto a nearly empty platform, his evening took an unexpected turn.
nprI know I couldn't have handled the situation like this.....mbf

That is actually very cool. I am not sure I would be able to handle it that way either.

Amazing story of courage and trust. You don't do that without a belief in something bigger than yourself. Call it a higher power, call it love, call it faith or what you want but Julio had and it was exemplified by his reception at the diner and by the thieves' actions.

Thank-you, Ray. Don't know if it is wisdom, maybe just a good guess.

That is indeed an inspiring story. Society isn't slipping into the deep pit of despair as the MSM would haveyou believe. I would like to meet Diaz, as he seems to be my type of person.

Excellent example of a good, empathic, and gutsy person-about time some good stuff is publicized occasionally!

Wow, awesome story indeed. Im really envious of that guy, if someone pulled a knife on me I'd just beat the hell out of them, but I've been trained for that. I wish there were more people out there in the world like this guy!
