Lots of you young guys don't know what we left. We made the most polluted place in the world around Da Nang.

That is just plain wrong. And like the judge in a lawsuit against a former company I worked for "brought" (filed by) the Crown against the aforesaid company, "the government is wrong most of the time. " Boy, he sure got that right. Good Lord, that is so wrong on so many levels it is truly depressing. Women, children, animals and non-combatants should never have to suffer due to the greed and stupidity of rich angry old men and misguided governments. icon_cry.gif

damn i heard about how bad it was but i never would have thought how bad it really was with out seeing some of those pics
Coz
My father suffered from that Agent Orange stuff. It wasn't good. Of course, it took the Gov't years to acknowledge that there were symptoms associated with that chemical.

Irony is a funny b*tch. Because now I have some symptoms of some crap that was used in Desert Storm. Of course, the Gov't denies any sort of claim and/or compensation.

I still don't regret going over there or doing what I did. In fact, so far, it is the proudest moment of my life.

I come from a long line of a Military Family;

Grandfather was in WWII
Uncle was in Korea
Dad was in Vietnam
I was in Desert Storm

I am honored to have carried on the "tradition" and I am honored to be related to such great men. Regardless of the "screw ups" of the Gov't. Military Service is absolutely, without a doubt, the most Honorable thing you can do.

I agree completely. I just wish that the leaders didn't pull any fast shit like they have in the past and then show disrespect to the vets by lying to them after the fact. That is just plain wrong.
