A little political review, a time to think & remember From a Navy man
After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which killed six and injured 1,000;
President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five U.S. military personnel;
Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed 19 and injured 200 U.S. military personnel;
Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1998 bombing of U.S. embassies in Africa, which killed 224 and injured 5,000;
Clinton promised that those responsible! would be hunted down and punished.
After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 and injured 39 U.S. sailors;
Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
Maybe if Clinton had kept his promise, an estimated 3,000 people in New York and Washington, D.C. that are now dead would be alive today.
AN INTERESTING QUESTION:
This question was raised on a Philly radio call-in show.
Without casting stones, it is a legitimate question.
There are two men, both extremely wealthy.
One develops relatively cheap software and gives billions of dollars to charity. The other sponsors terrorism.
That being the case, why was it that the Clinton Administration spent more money chasing down Bill Gates over the past eight years than Osama bin Laden?
THINK ABOUT IT!
It is a strange turn of events.
Hillary gets $8 Million for her forthcoming memoir.
Bill gets about $12 Million for his memoir yet to be written.
This from two people who have spent the past 8 years being unable to recall anything about past events while under oath!
Sincerely,
Cmdr Hamilton McWhorter
USN(ret)
P. S. We don't want this woman to even THINK of running for President.

Certainly a series of head-scratchers there, Ace. I wonder which publisher was braindead enough to give either Clinton a dime for their memoirs? I can't imagine there would be anything in them that hasn't already appeared in the National Enquirer.

Sadaam did the 9/11 thing?? North Korea too??
So far we have killed alot of people and the responsoble people (person) is still out there.
Clinton was/is a dolt. But we need a middle ground. The coutry did better under the dems (I am neither dem or rep, btw). Bush needs to put as much effort into the crappy economy and the problems in our backyard as he does to war and revenge.
I am not saying he is unjust, just a bit tilted in the priority department.

Ok...heres the deal. We Americans enjoy the priviledge of sitting on our backsides and complainig about how Bush is being a bully, causing confrontation. Problem being its been a long time since Americans have had to put forth much effort at maintaining this freedom they enjoy. They have become spoiled and complacent. How dare Bush do something that my change their lifestlye or get someone they care about killed.
Well boys and girls it was nasty ol war that got you these freedoms. Yep nasty, dirty , horror filled war. Lots of good and innocent people died on both sides. And make no mistake, these people we call terrorist or what ever want us dead and what they did on Sept 11 was an act of WAR!
If the people of America in the past had the same aditude as most Americans do now .......well you wouldnt be speakin the Kings English.
Make no mistake, if you dont deal with these people now you will have to later...and if will be a lot nastyer. So Americans roll up your sleeves.....you might have to get your hands dirty on this one.

I agree that 9/11 was an act of war. I also agree that threats to our freedom should be stopped. All I want is not to put ourselves on hold, while the congress renames french fries and french toast, seniors have to pass up medications that they can't afford. Medicare is back in the shitter.
Is it too much to ask that they stick to the business at hand too??
All I want is my gonvernment to walk and chew gum!!!!
Sadaam and all the others must and will be dealt with, but so must our countries needs. [/u]

Was Clinton really responcible or did he ride in on the foundation set by Regan and George Bush sr. Seems to me that the resession we are currently in started at the end of Clintons term. Being in a business that caters to the American farmer I see the results of free trade. Produce has all but dissapeared from New York once a major supplier.

I'm not trying to say he made the economy good. There are sooo many factors.
All I would like to see is a middle ground where everything is taken care of, home and abroad. Call me a dreamer. I think we can do more than just one thing. It is called multitasking. I guess I am more pissed with congress. Freedom fires for gods sake!!!!!
Do your job people!!!

You have the UN to blame for this Iraq fiasco that has gone on for 6 months or so now.
It has been blown totally out of proportion, Saddam and his regime has to go and there is no doubt that the US / UK coallition can do this with minimal life lost.
Lets get it over and done with so we can get back to some sort of normality, or until the next dictator wants a challenge.

Look people, war is comming. Deal with it. Damn tired of this tyrant defying all the UN resolutions. Screw the friggin liberal peaceniks. Time now for him to meet his maker.
QUOTE
The only area where Saddam can rely with confidence on the loyalty of his security forces is in the Ba'ath party's heartland around Baghdad. In an attempt to reassert his authority Saddam last week issued a directive ordering Iraqi officials not to give up their positions and flee the country.
To set an example, members of Saddam's security forces arrested a civil servant in the al-Hurriyya suburb of Baghdad on suspicion of preparing to leave the country. The unfortunate official was then tied to a pole in the street and passers-by were ordered to watch as his tongue was cut out and he was left to bleed to death.
Enough said. I spent 22 years defending my country, and it's about damn time we take the terrorist and bad people down. I may sound like we in the US are better than anyone else, but we are not. But, we have our security to worry about, and as the only super power now, and the only legitimate enforcer of the UN, beside the UK, we have an obligation.

Ok BigO, you wanna know? How lame our presidents are at keeping promises. And you're saying you can't learn much in 16 years? Sorry I haven't been around as long as you but in my life time, and from what Ace posted, we let this upon our selves. If clinton had stuck to his words I don't think we would of been such an easy target, do I think what you'r saying is prejudice thinking I don't have any proper say in this? Yes, I do. And un-called for, but hey, lets not get too feisty or they might lock the thread ::Trembles::
Exactly what I said I meant,
President not only lets us get stepped on during his presidency,
But has an affair.
Awsome examples, DONT YA THINK?

I see you enjoy the hell out of your freedom of speech Goku, given to you courtesy of this country and on the lives of good men and women just like the ones that died on Sept.11, but you havent got the stomach or the balls to defend either one of them.
You didnt get this freedom by people running their mouth, it was gotten by people who actually had to do something.

Sure thing BigO, I don't care at all, you're right. NOT. What you'r saying is flat out retarded. You'r obviously enjoying you'rs too. And I'd like you to konw I'm not the only one with this opinion many people on MSN that night thought the same, Pap being one. Ok, so now, me and pap and everyone who agree's don't give a f' about those people who died. It's not the point, and you know it. If you weren't so blind you would see the point I'm making.
P.S American Pride at its greatest wasn't aimed at you'r post BigO, it was aimed at what ace say, just incase u were to ignorant to not notice that. I did'nt even know you put a post in..
