Now, I usually don't beat on the U.S. of A., but just a little will keep all y'all from getting too big for your breeches. <Here they come.>
However, what to my mind what makes America great, once you get past all the bombast and chest thumping, are actions like these.
This is true empathy, compassion and love of the game. The "bonus" should be the winning of the game.
The playing of the game, fair and square; is where we build the character we would like to be; for ourselves.
Cheating and winning are easy. Losing graciously is the true test of charactor, while learning from the loss.
Playing it absolutely fair and square, with empathy and compassion, is what the true "spirit" of the game is all about.
This is where Americans (and Canadians) excel.
